Facebook and online dating question...what does this mean?
My fiance and I broke things off last week. We were supposed to get married this spring, but it's all off. It was a very painful and difficult break up. We haven't talked since. Our parents and siblings are completely shocked. I know some of you will think this is lame, but I took him off Facebook because I don't want him knowing what's going on in my life and I don't want to know what's going on in his. But I just found out that he hasn't removed any of my friends and family members from his Facebook AND he put a profile up on an online dating site with a picture of us with me cropped out of it as his profile picture Someone please explain this very weird behavior
Why does online dating suck?
It's frustrating how people can become someone they are not online and you wouldn't know it. I also hate how picky women are on certain sites like plenty of fish or match.com. Some girl said she wants a man who can make the best of any situation. What does she mean by that? Does that make it sound like she wants a man who does everything and call the shots all the time? I thought a relationship is a two way street? Some of those women I talked to are all about looks and seem materialistic. Like once they saw more pics of me, they disappeared and their whole life schedule changed. So can someone clear things up for me?
Would it be a good idea to join an online dating site when you turn 18?
I am 17 now and when I turn 18 I am thinking of joining an online dating site such as eharmony. I've never had a relationship and I am shy so I was thinking I could find a guy and get comfortable with them online and then meet them. Would this be a good idea or a bad idea why or why not?? Thanks Well I would think that if you have to pay to use a site then that would eliminate most of the " creeps with fake info" I also tend to get along with people better online then in person.
Good online dating hook ups free 4 nyc/nj area ?
really lonely looking for nice females
Whats your opinion on online dating?
How do I proceed with this online dating thing?
I have kind of a weird question to ask.Anyways, I was surfing facebook during a particularly dull study session in the library, and I clicked on one of those singles ads I realize this wasn't the greatest idea, but I was really just curious and kind of bored .So I made my profile, surfed a bit, and then signed off not really thinking much of it. The next day I received a " flirt" notified via e mail . So I checked out her profile, and was really surprised how many similarities we shared, and it really got my intrigue up she also lives in an area less than 10 km from where I live .But, seeing as how I'm not a paying member of this sight, I can't send any communication. So I pretty much left it there once again. Then, the other day, by freak chance and I do mean freak chance I stumbled on her facebook profile. Literally I was browsing some group about a local music thing, and noticed her name her user name on the dating site was a spin off from her real name .I wouldn't mind getting to know her better, so should I add her as a friend on facebook and risk looking stalkerish ? I've never really actually communicated with her since I'm not a paying member of the dating site aside from just adding her as a friend on that site . Or, should I just subscribe to site all for the sake of communicating with one person ?I don't really believe in online dating, but it isn't very often that I encounter someone with similar interests to my own, so I think it might be a mistake to just forget about it.
Why do men ignore what you're looking for in online dating ads?
I have gotten more than a few unwanted emails on this dating ste I'm on, and honestly, I am about to erase my profile and get off there. I am not one of these women who has a long list of nearly impossible qualifications for a man, but I do specify that I am attracted to Latin men who are in reasonably good shape, that he at least be my height just don't want to be taller than my man and are within about 5 years of my age. I also specify that I am not looking for a fling or a relationship that is sexual only. I don't think I am being unreasonable or that I am not making it clear what I am looking for, but I still get people who are the very opposite of what I am looking for. I am starting to think that most of these guys don't read my ad at all they just look at the pictures and write me " you're very pretty" off the bat. The compliments are flattering, but I frankly don't believe in screwing with people and wasting their time or my time if I know up front I am not interested. I just think calling these guys after knowing that or letting them take me out is mean and will also only cause me anxiety and unhappiness.I say I want someone late 20's early 30's or Latin decent not to be prejudiced, it's just my preference who is at least 5'7" , and I get a skinny, cocky, ungentlemanly 19 year old Black guy going " hey girl can I get your number?" OR I get the 62 year old, balding, overweight and unattractive, horny White man who already has a girlfriend trying to screw me right away. Or the 40 something black guy that still lives in his childhood room at his mom's and does not work. UGH it's so annoying, and I don't want to be mean and reject people, but what can I do? Settle for someone I am not attracted to?
When online dating, when do you start considering yourselves exclusive?
So I've been online dating for a few months, and theres a girl I'm now totally into. I go on some dates with other girls, but only because I need to keep my options open in case she doesnt work out or something. We've been talking for about 3 months. The last month or so we've gone on 4 dates, we talk on the phone every day, and send texts back and foreth constantly. Things seem pretty good, and I can't figure out what the next step is?Should I just keep having fun, seeing her, occaisonally dating some other girls, and let it take it's toll? or would it be ok to bring that up in conversation... ask if she's seeing other guys or something? She did say she cancelled her account, but it wasn't in reference to me.I've had other girls cancel their accounts " for me" after a few dates, and that scared me off because they were just dates to me I dont want to do the same thing
What do you think of online dating sites?
Which is the best one? worst one? are they just for unlucky people? dish..
Whats your take on online dating?
I have this friend and lets just say his name is " Matt" . Matt was telling me about a girl he met through playing XBox and he said he thought she was really cute and wanted to date her. But she lives in an entirely diff state than we do. I think he should totally go for it, just cuz I see that it would make him really happy. But I have a few questions problems with it.1. If you're dating someone online, whether or not its a diff state, what do you say when someone asks if you have a gf bf? cuz from what I've seen, ppl who say " yes, but its complicated" or " yeahh...but i cant rly tell you who.." tend to have others think they're lying and then when the other person is like " I am but we're online dating." ppl are like " dude wow really?? what the hell? thats stupid " especially if you tell them that its someone that lives in a diff state. And then if you say no, then you're ultimately lying. So what do you say? or would you just keep it to yourself and only tell close friends?? 2. What about the whole trust issue? how do you know they aren't dating someone in person? 3. What if you're dating someone online, diff state or not, and then you also go to school with someone that you are dating in person. Would it be considered cheating? and finally 4. To some ppl its an act of desperation. What do you think. Now I'm a junior in high school, and so is Matt. So I'm talking about online dating for someone 16 17 years old. This is a very opinionated question, so speak from what you believe. Any answer is greatly appreciated. Thanks
What's my next step? (online dating)?
I've been using the dating site called eHarmony and I've met a girl who I've been talking to via the site email service for about 2 weeks now. She seems like a cool girl I'd like to get to know better but I'm unsure what the next step is since this is my first time with online dating. Do I ask her if she'd like to start talking with instant messenger or should I try to arrange a first date, or maybe I should let her know that I'd like to take the next step but that I'm not sure what that step should be and let her make that decision? Little advice? Please and Thank you
How do i keep online dating with my boyfriend more interesting?
My boyfriend is deployed currently and all we have really to communicate is online chatting. I am thrilled that i can just be able to talk to him, but he says that he wants more. He is more of an " in person kind of a guy" , so this online chatting isn't really his thing. How can i make it more interesting for him? Are there games we can play?we do use skype, but with where he is there is only wifi and a million other people using it and when we use the video it always freezes
Online Dating Site Worth A Try?
I'm in my early 20s and I'm finding it difficult to meet men that I actually like, all my friends seem to be attached which makes it hard to recruit a wing woman. I'm just wondering whether its worth trying online dating sites. I myself have my own view on the type of people that would use these sites, and I wouldn't describe myself as one of those Im not socially retarded, have a decent job and good personality and looks, I just can't be bothered with the whole going out and finding someone.Has anyone had any good experiences of dating sites and would you say its worth a try? Thanks in advance
Online dating vs. real life dating, what's the cause of the discrimination?
As a person who goes on both online and real life dating, I can't help noticing this I get flaky, weird, disrespectful...behaviors with online dating way way more frequently than with people I first meet at bars, clubs, or friends,.. It seems not only me but everyone who uses online dating services shares the same experiences also. So the question is why is there the vast difference? I can think of these 3 things, which one do you think is the major reason? Or do you have an idea of your own why? 1. Most of online daters are bums to start with. Few decent people go online dating. somehow I doubt this 2. It's still that same mix of people. But they think online daters except themselves are...losers. So already without the respect in mind, they don't feel the need to be considerate.3. It's the same mix of people and they don't discriminate agaisnt other online daters vs real life ones. But it's the...properties of the internet technology that allow them to be flaky and be able to get away with it.What do you think?
