I have a question about single parent dating....?
I have been seeing a guy for over a year now, and felt for much of the time that we were naturally progressing. We are both responsible and somewhat busy single parents. I am kid free about 1 night a week and he has his son part time faithfully. Our kids get along pretty well and there aren't many problems in this area, but I'm starting to think it's a little strange that we only see each other about once a week. And sadly, I'm starting to realize, that most of the time it's my night free that I go and spend with him. He does come over occasionally, but rarely stays. Is this unusual, or am I overreacting?

What are the effects of single parent dating habits on their children?
I have a friend who is a single mom to three boys all under the age of 10. In the last 2 years she has dated 4 men who she fell in love with quickly and made them part of her children's lives. The boys bonded to each one and then suffered when the relationships ended. I was wondering if there are any good studies or books on the long term effects of this pattern on the children.

How has it been for you? I am a good guy, pretty d m sexy this is what ppl tell me and i do take great care of my body I am responsible. But it seems as if kids really are a dealbreaker for most people. I am fine wiht it honestly sicne my kids give me all I need really. I'm new to being a single mom dating. How do you handle it? I don't get much time to myself. I actually have a boyfriend but we both have kids and don't get to see each other much. My kids are both under 4 and his are 12 and 14...We rarely get to spend time as a couple. As a couple its great but as a family I feel awkward. I have two little kids that still require care and attention and his are older. I get so exhausted and he doesn't help out. I begin to dread his visits if I have the kids because it is so tiring. Is this how it is? Am I missing something? How do other single parents handle dating?His both children love our time together. I just am so exhuasted by the end of a visit it takes a day to get energy back.I feel a bit like he is putting up a front around me. He is great to my kids and me but I just can't put my finger on it, that there is something I should be careful of.

How do single parents date?
I am not planing on starting dating yet, but i am concerned about the time. I have a 50 50 custody and my days are tues Fri night sat and sun.. The ex Works on the weekends and he will get him on sun night.Now dont get me wrong i love me son more then anything, and i really want full custody. But as far as dating i have already i told myself i would not bring women around him until i am sure they will be around for a long time. Do you just hire a baby sitter for a weekend day, just thinking about it makes me feel very guilty since i dont even see him every night.SHE works on the weekends.
